I'm suppose to be on Oprah either today (Monday) or Tuesday at 3pm on ABC, debunking James Van Praagh, who is this "medium" who says he can talk to the dead. Ugh. He has a new book out, TALKING TO HEAVEN, and, unbelievably, got a full hour, unopposed, two weeks ago on Larry King Live. I blasted him pretty hard in the interview with Oprah, but we'll see what actually gets aired. I instructed the producer on how to set up a "reading" with Van Praagh so he couldn't get advance information on his subjects, and she told me that he grilled her relentlessly and extremely skillfully to extract any information he could about the subjects ahead of time. She says she didn't give him a thing but that in the course of the conversation Van Praagh would cleverly always come back to trying to get information.
